Construction Updates

May 13, 2016

In effort to consistently provide well-maintained parking facilities, Parking and Transportation Services, together with Facilities Planning and Management, will be doing necessary repairs and maintenance throughout the summer in the structures and  surface lots.

For your safety, please pay attention to all construction signage and barricades.  Please enter the parking structures and lots with your headlights on and be extremely cautious through any re-routed traffic areas.  Construction workers will be frequently traveling throughout the parking facilities. For worker's safety, please pay attention to construction equipment and personnel as they work to improve our parking facilities.

We apologize for the inconvenience these projects may cause; however we look forward to the long term benefits of the ongoing repairs and maintenance.  If you have any questions, please contact Parking and Transportation Services at parking@wayne.eduor 313-577-1979

Parking Structure #2

Work is planned to begin May 16, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed before fall classes begin in August.  This year's project includes concrete patching repairs and waterproofing work in localized areas throughout the structure.  An estimated 300 parking spaces will be closed for the majority of the summer. The East stair tower will also be closed for a portion of the summer (adjacent elevator to remain open).

Parking Structure #3

Work is planned to begin as early as May 9, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed toward the beginning of August. Localized concrete floor patching, will occur on nights and weekends.  Normal parking operations and stair towers should be unaffected, however there may be some minor disruptions.
