Parking Technology Enhancements at Lot 57
Please be advised construction is slated to begin in Lot 57 this Thursday, May 24, 2018. During this time, everyone assigned to lot 57 is asked to park in Lot 59 (southeast corner of Warren and John R.) or Parking Structure 3 (northwest corner of Warren and John R.). Lot 59 will have the gate open and once the lot fills to capacity, your parking assignment has been modified to also allow access at Structure 3. If you have any problems, please contact the 24/7 parking Command Center at 313-577-1979 and they will address.
Weather permitting, construction, equipment installation, and testing will be done between May 24 through June 8, 2018. The lot will reopen once the new concrete cures. This is expected by June 4th. The project consists of new entry/exit lanes and parking equipment island. Equipment includes: OneCard Assigned and Debit readers, ticket spitter with credit card only payment at exit reader, Radio Frequency Identification Readers (RFID) and new intercom system which will go to our 24/7 parking command center.
We apologize for the inconvenience, however look forward to the long term benefits of the enhancements. For your safety, please pay close attention to all construction signage, barricades and traffic cones. If you have any questions, please contact Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) at firstname.lastname@example.org or 313-577-1979.
