2015 Spring/Summer Construction Projects

Parking and Transportation Services announces structure and parking lot renovations and major maintenance for Summer 2015.

 

Parking Structure #1:  Parking on the East End of the structure will be closed due to construction at all levels starting Friday May 8, 2015.  Gates 1 and 2 will be closed for construction and shall remain closed throughout this summer’s construction.  Stair Tower 1 on East End of structure will be closed as well as Stair Tower at North Service Drive.  To access available parking, vehicles must enter the structure using Gates 3, 4 and 5, use Stair Towers 2 and 3, and park in designated areas on Levels 1 through 6.

 

Parking Structure #2:  Parking within the structure in select areas and levels will be closed due to construction starting May 12, 2015.  Traffic signage and construction area closures shall be posted.  Construction completion is anticipated early August. A maximum of 400 parking spaces will be barricaded at any given time throughout the structure.

 

Parking Structure #5:  Parking within the structure in select areas and levels will be closed due to construction, starting May 12, 2015.  Traffic signage and construction area closure shall be posted. Construction completion is anticipated early August. A maximum of 300 parking spaces will be barricaded at any given time throughout the structure.

 

In addition, there will be drive lane and parking equipment work at lots 23, 32 and 34.  Lot #23 will be closed for approximately two weeks. Parking equipment will also be repaired/replaced at various other surface lots along with potholes and storm drains.

For your safety, please pay attention to all construction signage and barricades, drive into the parking structures and lots with your headlights on and be extremely cautious through any rerouted traffic areas.  Construction workers will be frequently traveling throughout the parking facilities. Pay attention to construction equipment and trades as they work to improve our parking facilities.
