Construction Updates
In effort to consistently provide well-maintained parking facilities, Parking and Transportation Services, together with Facilities Planning and Management, will be doing necessary repairs and maintenance throughout the summer in the structures and surface lots.
For your safety, please pay attention to all construction signage and barricades. Please enter the parking structures and lots with your headlights on and be extremely cautious through any re-routed traffic areas. Construction workers will be frequently traveling throughout the parking facilities. For worker's safety, please pay attention to construction equipment and personnel as they work to improve our parking facilities.

Project Locations
Lot 12 (Harper and Woodward)
Lot 12 will be closed Starting May 10, 2016 and is to be completely redone with new lighting, pavement and parking equipment. Once it re-opens it will no longer be a free lot as it will help offset current and future parking needs of the Integrative Biological Sciences Building (IBio).
Lot 14 (Cass and Amsterdam)
Lot 14 is a newly purchased lot and is not currently being used. The lot will be completely redone with new lighting, pavement and parking equipment. This lot will also help offset current and future parking needs of IBio and other activity in the north end of campus.
Lot 34 (Ferry and Woodward)
Lot 34 will have the entry/exit drive lane repaired, grading and fence work done as well as expanding the lot South and West to help accommodate the new School of Social Work parking needs. Construction dates have not been determined as of yet.
Lot 70 (Cass and Prentis)
Lot 70 will close beginning Monday, May 16, 2016 in conjunction with the Midtown loop project. The entrance and exit approaches will be redone and upgraded. The lot is estimated to be closed 4-10 days.
Parking Structure #1
Work is planned to begin May 16, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed before fall classes begin in August. This year's major projects include structural concrete repairs, including hydro-demolition, and waterproofing work. All levels in bays 5 & 6 will be closed for the majority of the summer, as well as stair/elevator “B” and stair “E”. Gate 1, the northeast vehicle entry/exit, will also be closed for construction staging.
Parking Structure #2
Work is planned to begin May 16, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed before fall classes begin in August. This year's project includes concrete patching repairs and waterproofing work in localized areas throughout the structure. An estimated 300 parking spaces will be closed for the majority of the summer. The East stair tower will also be closed for a portion of the summer (adjacent elevator to remain open).
Parking Structure #3
Work is planned to begin as early as May 9, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed toward the beginning of August. Localized concrete floor patching, will occur on nights and weekends. Normal parking operations and stair towers should be unaffected, however there may be some minor disruptions.
Parking Structure #4
Work is planned to begin as early as May 9, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed toward the end of July. Work includes stair repairs and waterproofing on elevator tower exteriors and roofs. One stair tower will be closed at a time thru the end of July. The elevator tower will remain open for normal use and normal parking operations should be unaffected.
Parking Structure #5
Work is planned to begin May 16, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed before fall classes begin in August. We will be working on concrete and waterproofing repairs primarily on level 3. Levels 3 & 4 and portion of level 2 will be closed thru mid-June, then localized parking space closures will occur for the remainder of summer. The northeast stair tower will be closed for a large portion of the summer whereas the southwest stair tower and southeast elevator should not be affected. The Anthony Wayne vehicle entry and exit will also be closed for a portion of the summer in order to redo the existing deteriorating concrete.
