2019 Heart Walk Lot Closures

Greetings,

As many of you are aware, the 2019 Heart Walk will be hosted on Wayne State's campus on Saturday, May 18, 2019. We have worked closely with the American Heart Association Detroit team to plan and coordinate logistical details to ensure a seamless event day. As such, Lot 31 and Lot 32 will be offline for 3.5 days for pre-event setup, event day festivities, and post-event clean up.

How Does this Impact Me

In preparation for the event, Lots 31 and 32 will be closed from Thursday, May 16 at 5 PM through Sunday, May 19 at 12 AM. These locations will be used for tent setup and staging.

Current Lot 31 WSU Assigned parkers will have parking access for Structure 1 and Structure 5 added to their profiles during this time period.

Where is Structure 1 and Structure 5

• Parking Structure 1 is located at the corner of Cass Ave. and Palmer (450 W. Palmer Avenue). Please note that Structure 1 has five entrances/exits. Gate 1 is currently closed for construction. Gate 2 is exclusive for assigned faculty/staff only. Gates 3,4, and 5 are accessible to all assigned parkers.
• Parking Structure 5 is located along the Northwest corner of Anthony Wayne Drive and Kirby (5501 Anthony Wayne Drive ). Please note that Structure 5 has two entrances; one accessible from the John C. Lodge/Kirby service drive and the other accessible from Anthony Wayne Drive.

For assistance while at a location, please utilize the "push for assistance" silver intercom button. This will connect directly to our 24/7 Parking Command Center. An associate will connect with you remotely via microphone and camera to help with any parking-related issue you're experiencing.
