Parking and Transportation information for students for fall 2020
WSU Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) has worked diligently throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to continue to provide parking and transportation amenities. Due to the reduced number of individuals and in-person classes on campus, and in order to minimize expenses, Parking Structures 3, 4 and 5 will remain closed.
Individuals who pay the daily rate to park in Structure 3 can park in either Structure 1 or Structure 8, or they may pay the difference to park at Structure 6. Individuals who park at Structure 4 are to use Lot 75, and those who park at Structure 5 can park in either Structure 1 or Structure 2. An announcement will be sent to the campus when these structures reopen. Structure 6 will reopen Monday, Aug. 17, 2020, with the start of fall semester passes.
Semester and daily parking is available throughout campus. Semester parking is presently on sale and the rates will remain the same for fall 2020. To purchase semester parking, visit the online parking portal. For information regarding current rates, please visit the PTS website. Students, please make sure you purchase a semester pass or use your OneCard debit accounts to receive the reduced student rates.
Due to social distancing limitations on our minibuses, as well as cost savings with the small number of individuals on campus, PTS will not operate the campus shuttles this fall semester. If you need to get around campus, both DDOT and SMART buses are currently operating at no charge to the riders. You can also use MOGO, our partnered bike share program, or any one of the e-scooter companies authorized by the City of Detroit. Typically, the scooters are staged near campus on City of Detroit property. For more information, visit the WayneRides website.
PTS looks forward to the return of in-person classes and providing services to everyone on campus. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact at email@example.com or by calling the OneCard/Parking Service Center at 313-577-CARD (2273).
