Parking and Transportation is on the Move!

Technology and operational enhancements are coming soon to Parking Lot #31. On Monday, August 6th work will begin to update access devices and the physical layout of the parking lot entrance/exit.

Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFID) will be installed and provide hands-free access into the parking area for assigned patrons. The parking lot will also be added to the live parking count tracking system. This will enable improved space management of the parking area. A custom L.E.D. sign will provide parking lot capacity status for "WSU Permit" and "Visitors".

The current Pay-in-Lane device will be replaced with an ExpressParc device which will read the magnetic stripe ticket on exit and accept payment by credit card, bank issued debit card or validated parking ticket. Cash will no longer be accepted at Parking Lot #31.

The parking equipment island will be removed and redesigned to improve traffic flow into the parking lot. Electrical and communication wiring required for the installation of these systems will be installed below ground.

The parking lot will remain open during this renovation, however there will be intermittent lane closures. For your safety please be aware of the signage posted at the entrance/exit and avoid barricaded areas.
