Parking Summer Construction Projects Update
Parking and Transportation is on the Move:
We are pleased to announce the following construction projects are in the final stages and wrapping up.
Parking Structure #1 (PS#1)
Effective Tuesday, August 26, 2013, Gate #2, located at the southeast section of the structure, will reopen. Parking will be available in this section of the structure except areas that are still blocked for construction. Gate #1, located on the north side of the structure, will remain closed until the project is complete. Completion is expected in early October.
Temporary handicap parking has been established on Level 1 for individuals using Gate #2. If perchance handicap spaces in this area are not available, please use the handicap spaces on level 1, between gates #3 & #4.
Parking Structure #4 (PS#4)
All major construction for this year is complete. A few minor touch ups will still occur, however they will typically be after hours or on the weekends when the structure is closed.
Parking Lot #54 (Old Main)
The lot’s entrance/exit was redone with all new equipment installed including Radio Frequency Identification readers. Beginning Tuesday, August 27, the gates will be down and everyone assigned to the lot will have access via their RFID hangtag/OneCard. Either your RFID/OneCard must now be used to enter and exit the lot and in order for your RFID hangtag/OneCard to work properly, they will have to be used in sequence, in then out with no multiple entrances or exits.
We apologize in advance for the inconvenience these projects may cause; however we look forward to the long term benefits of the ongoing repairs and maintenance. If you have any questions, please contact Parking and Transportation Services at parking@wayne.edu or 313-576-PARK (7275).
