Power Shut Down at PS#2 and Matthaei March 17, 2018
POWER SHUT DOWN SATURDAY, MARCH 17, 2018 MATTHAEI BUILDING AND PS#2
Detroit Energy (DTE) is converting power from the old Public Lighting Department (PLD) infrastructure to new DTE infrastructure at Parking Structure 2 (PS#2) and the Matthaei Building this Saturday, March 17, 2018. Both buildings will lose electrical power during the conversions which are scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM. It is anticipated that power will be back online around 4:00 PM, but may not be restored until 8:00 PM (pending any unforeseen challenges).
During this time, the gates at PS#2 will be raised and there will be no lights or elevator use. Vehicles parked in the structure are permitted to stay. However, anyone who prefers not to park in the structure, while the power is off, can move to Parking Structure 1 (PS#1). Individuals assigned to PS#2 will be given PS#1 access for the day. PS#1 is located at 450 West Palmer at the northwest corner of Cass and Palmer.
Matthaei Building will be closed and all activity will be suspended for the day.
Lots 40 and 50 - Gates will be raised during this time to allow ingress and egress for individuals who need access to these parking facilities.
